NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH
There have been burglaries of homes and vehicles in our neighborhood. Keep your cars in the garage so that you do not become a statistic. When you have
a car outside, be sure windows and doors are locked and garage door remotes are out of the car so a burglar cannot gain access to your home.
Do not keep anything valuable in your car!
Get to know your neighbors and keep an eye out for something that doesn't
look or feel right. If you see anything suspicious please call 911.

SMART DOOR BELL
The newly invented Smart Bell looks like a regular doorbell, but has a built-in SIM card - and when a burglar rings your doorbell, it calls your cell phone and you get to talk through the intercom to the burglar, who assumes you're inside.
SOLICITATIONS
If you are fed up with all the junk flyers and handbills appearing on your front door there is hope. The City of Plano has an ordinance prohibiting solicitations if a property has a posted sign. The sign must be at least 3" by 4" in size.
This sign may state “No Solicitation”, “No Peddlers” or “No Trespassing”. —Read

While social networking sites can increase your circle of friends, they also can increase your exposure to people with less-than-friendly intentions.
CEO's of companies are concerned that their employees' usage of social networks is posing a security risk for their company.

BLUETOOTH THEFT
Always turn Bluetooth off on your mobile devices when not in use. Hackers can use Bluetooth to steal personal information and install malicious software.
GROUPON SPOOFING
Be aware that criminals can “spoof,” popular coupon sites like Groupon to install malicious software on your computer to steal financial credentials and take your money.
